Katmai National Park is located on the Alaska Peninsula, 250 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska.  It’s 3.2 million acres are home to the largest concentration of Brown (Grizzly) Bears in the world! Approximately 4000 bears inhabit this isolated mass of rugged mountain peaks, clear flowing streams and glacial carved lakes. Sockeye Salmon migrate to these waters annually to spawn and keep the cycle of life flowing. It becomes a time of feasting for the Great Brown Bear!
